Job summary

Home Instead is seeking an experienced Recruiter to lead caregiver recruiting for our San Luis Obispo County agency. You will manage applications, prescreen, conduct interviews, and guide candidates through pre-employment steps, including background checks and CA registration.

You will build a strong caregiver pipeline, engage candidates by phone/text/email, reactivate past applicants, and partner with onboarding to ensure a smooth transition from applicant to employee.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of recruiting experience and talent selection.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and follow through.
• Comfortable outbound calls and proactive engagement.
• Self-directed and solution-oriented work style.

Responsibilities

• Manage caregiver applications and recruiting pipelines.
• Review qualifications and prescreen applicants.
• Conduct phone screens and interviews.
• Maintain timely communication with candidates throughout the process.
• Reactivate qualified applicants from previous months/years.
• Schedule and coordinate interviews.
• Prepare offers and guide pre-employment requirements (background checks, TB test, drug screening, CA Home Care Aide registration).
• Collaborate with onboarding/training teams for smooth transitions.
• Track recruiting activity and pipeline performance.
• Improve candidate engagement and hiring efficiency.
• Maintain and optimize job postings on Indeed and other platforms.
• Develop relationships with local colleges and community organizations.
