Job summary

Wellspring Lutheran Services in Saginaw Assisted Living seeks a Caregiver Supervisor (CNA) to lead a compassionate caregiving team and support outstanding resident care. You will mentor staff, coordinate schedules, and participate in daily operations to ensure safety and dignity for residents.

You’ll work with the Wellness Nurse, address care-plan updates, and respond to changes in resident condition, while fostering a culture where families feel confident and staff feel valued.

Qualifications

• Current Michigan CNA certification required.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in caregiving, nursing support, or senior living services.
• Two years of elder care or senior living experience preferred.
• Experience leading teams, mentoring staff, or coordinating schedules valued.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example and supervise caregivers and medication aides to deliver consistent, compassionate care.
• Coach and develop team members, building confidence and professional growth.
• Coordinate staffing, fill coverage gaps, and ensure caregivers have tools and resources to do their jobs.
• Collaborate with Wellness Nurse on resident concerns, care plans, and changes in condition.

Job Description: Caregiver Supervisor (CNA) | Care Team Leadership, Resident Support & Service Excellence Wellspring Lutheran Services - Saginaw Assisted Living | Full-Time | Hourly $18.00

At Wellspring Assisted Living, we're looking for a Caregiver Supervisor who believes that taking care of a team is one of the best ways to take care of residents. In this role, you'll serve as a leader, coach, mentor, and role model for caregivers and medication passers throughout the community. You'll help ensure residents receive exceptional care while creating an environment where team members feel supported, equipped, and empowered to do their best work. You'll remain connected to direct resident care while helping guide daily operations, support staff development, and strengthen the culture of the community. Most importantly, you'll help create the kind of home where residents feel cared for, families feel confident, and caregivers feel valued.

What Your Impact Will Look Like

You’ll lead by example, working alongside caregivers and medication aides while providing the support and direction they need to succeed. You'll help ensure residents receive consistent, compassionate care that promotes dignity, independence, comfort, and quality of life. You'll coach and develop team members, helping them build confidence, improve skills, and grow professionally. You'll work closely with the Wellness Nurse to address resident concerns, medication-related issues, care plan updates, and changes in resident condition. You'll coordinate staffing needs, help fill coverage gaps, and ensure caregivers have the tools, supplies, and resources needed to provide exceptional care. You'll respond to challenges as they arise, support incident investigations and follow-up, and help maintain a safe environment for residents, visitors, and employees. You'll build relationships with families, listen to concerns, answer questions, and help create confidence in the care their loved ones receive. Some days you'll be coaching a new caregiver, assisting with resident needs, and helping coordinate schedules. Other days you'll be delivering training, supporting care planning, resolving concerns, or celebrating successes with your team. Every day, your leadership will make a difference.

Qualifications

• Current Michigan Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification, required.

• Two years of experience in an elder care or senior living environment preferred.
• Experience leading teams, mentoring staff, or coordinating schedules is highly valued.

Schedule

Full-time, 36 hours / week Night Shift (6pm-6am) Every other weekend and holiday rotation
