Job summary

Assisting Hands Irvine & Dana Point is looking for a dedicated Assistant Staffing Coordinator to help recruit high-quality caregivers and schedule staffing for our Irvine & Dana Point office. The role involves extensive phone work and coordinating with caregivers, clients, and health care professionals.

Education preferences include an Associate's or Bachelor's degree; HS diploma required. The ideal candidate has at least 1 year in staffing or customer service, especially in senior services, and

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of staffing or customer service experience, preferably in a senior service or health care setting.
• Excellent telephone, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
• Well-organized, able to multi-task and have excellent attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to work independently and be a proactive problem solver.

Responsibilities

• Assist with management of job posts and track applicant progress across multiple platforms.
• Support interviews, selection, and onboarding of new caregivers.
• Assist with matching appropriate caregivers to client cases based on personality, availability, experience, and skill set.
• Aid in ensuring coverage and arrange substitute/back-up coverage as necessary.
• Support handling and resolution of caregiver issues, problems, and scheduling changes.
• Identify sources for recruiting potential caregivers (job boards, job fairs, open houses, etc.).
• Provide information about services to prospective clients.
• Maintain caregiver and client files and keep them up to date.
• Ensure CDSS compliance requirements are met and documented for all caregivers.
• Serve as the backup point of contact for clients, caregivers, and associated service providers.
• Work in partnership with management to support caregivers and resolve attendance or performance issues.
• Collaborate with Administrator to ensure hours and pay rates are correct for payroll and billing rates.
• Participate in on-call rotation (evening & weekends).
