Job summary

At Peace Healthcare Agency is seeking compassionate Caregivers / Personal Care Assistants (PCAs) to provide one-on-one, non-medical care for clients in their homes. You will assist with ADLs, companionship, meal prep, light housekeeping, and transportation as needed, helping clients maintain dignity and independence.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of personal care experience preferred
• Experience as a Caregiver, PCA, HHA, Home Health Aide, Personal Care Aide, Direct Care Worker, or similar role is a plus
• Proof of current TB testing required
• Must be physically able to perform the essential duties of the position
• Must have reliable transportation
• If transporting clients, must have a valid driver's license and current automobile insurance
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Must be mature, caring, punctual, and dependable
• Must successfully pass required criminal background and fingerprint checks

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one, non-medical personal care and companionship to clients in their homes
• Assist with activities of daily living and personal hygiene
• Support mobility, transfers, and safe movement within the home
• Maintain a safe, clean living environment and assist with light housekeeping
• Prepare meals and assist with daily routines as needed
• Offer transportation assistance to medical appointments when required
• Provide emotional support and encouraging social engagement
• Support clients to live independently and with dignity
