Job summary

At Peace Health Care Agency is seeking compassionate Caregivers / Personal Care Assistants (PCAs) to provide one‑on‑one, non‑medical support in clients’ homes. You will assist with daily living activities, meal prep, light housekeeping, and companionship to help clients live safely and independently at home.

The role emphasizes dignity, reliability, and empathy, with opportunities to grow within a caring agency that values meaningful work and client‑centered care.

Qualifications

• Must have proof of current TB testing.
• Must be physically able to perform essential duties.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• If transporting clients, must have a valid driver’s license and current automobile insurance.
• Must successfully pass required background and fingerprint checks.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, non‑medical personal care in clients' homes.
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Perform light housekeeping and meal preparation.
• Provide companionship and emotional support; encourage independence and social engagement.
• Assist with mobility and transfers; support safe movement throughout the home.
• Provide medication reminders as per care plan.
• Transport clients to medical appointments and run errands when applicable.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

As a Caregiver / Personal Care Assistant, you will provide compassionate, non-medical support to clients in their homes.

Your responsibilities may include:

Personal Care

• Bathing and grooming
• Toileting and incontinence care
• Dressing and personal hygiene
• Assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs)

Home & Daily Living Support

• Meal preparation
• Light housekeeping
• Laundry and maintaining a safe environment
• Assistance with daily routines

Companionship & Support

• Provide companionship and emotional support
• Encourage independence and social engagement
• Assist clients with daily activities

Mobility Assistance

• Assistance with ambulation and transfers
• Supporting safe movement throughout the home

Medication Reminders

• Provide medication reminders according to the client's care plan

Transportation Assistance

• Transportation to medical appointments
• Assistance with errands and community activities, when applicable

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of personal care experience preferred
• Experience as a Caregiver, PCA, HHA, Home Health Aide, Personal Care Aide, Direct Care Worker, or similar role is a plus
• Proof of current TB testing required
• Must be physically able to perform the essential duties of the position
• Must have reliable transportation
• If transporting clients, must have a valid driver's license and current automobile insurance
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Must be mature, caring, punctual, and dependable
