Job summary

At Peace Healthcare Agency is hiring compassionate Caregivers / Personal Care Assistants (PCAs) to support clients in their homes. You will provide non-medical personal care, companionship, and help maintain dignity and independence for clients.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of personal care experience preferred.
• Experience as a Caregiver, PCA, HHA, Home Health Aide, Direct Care Worker, or similar role is a plus.
• Proof of current TB testing required.
• Must be physically able to perform the essential duties of the position.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• If transporting clients, must have a valid driver's license and current automobile insurance.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be mature, caring, punctual, and dependable.
• Must successfully pass required criminal background and fingerprint checks.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one, non-medical personal care and companionship to clients in their homes.
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, toileting, dressing and grooming.
• Support meal preparation, light housekeeping, laundry and safe home environment.
• Provide mobility assistance, transfers, and safe movement throughout the home.
• Offer companionship, encouragement of independence and social engagement.
• Assist with errands and transportation to medical appointments when applicable.
• Provide medication reminders according to care plans.
