Comfort Keepers is seeking caring caregivers to provide in-home support to seniors in the Corbin area. The role focuses on companionship and daily living assistance with flexible shifts and a supportive team behind you.

Benefiting from ongoing paid training and access to a comprehensive benefits package, you will help enhance clients’ quality of life while working in a welcoming, professional environment.

Qualifications

• Companionship and/or Personal Care experience preferred.
• Must pass background checks and work-related references.
• Must pass drug testing.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Access to reliable transportation and willingness to travel within Laurel, Knox, Whitley & Rockcastle counties.
• KY Driver’s License and up-to-date car insurance.

Responsabilités

• Provides friendly companionship and assistance with daily activities including dressing, grooming, meals, medication reminders, errands, laundry and light housekeeping.
• Personal care including bathing, dressing, mobility, incontinence care, feeding and related services.
• Provides transportation to doctor’s appointments and other activities.

Caregiver Responsibilities:

• Provides friendly companionship and assistance with daily activities including dressing guidance, grooming, meal preparation, medication reminders, running errands, laundry and light housekeeping
• Personal Care including bathing, dressing, mobility, incontinence care, feeding and other services
• Provides transportation to doctor’s appointments, beauty shops, etc.

Caregiver Requirements:

• Companionship and/or Personal Care experience, preferred
• A passion for the job and genuine desire to help others
• Access to reliable transportation with a willingness to travel within Laurel, Knox, Whitley & Rockcastle counties
• Up-to-date car insurance in your name, registration and valid KY Driver’s License
• Ability to pass background checks and work-related references
• Must pass drug testing
• Previous experience as a Caregiver, CNA, Home Health Aide, Personal Care Assistant, or care for a family member is preferred but not required
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• High School Diploma or GED

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Client home setting and automobile. Contact with blood or other body fluids may pose a risk for exposure to blood borne pathogens and infectious diseases.

POSITION PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The work requires moderate physical exertion on a regular and recurring basis, such as driving, assisting clients in transfer activities and ambulation, and light housekeeping. Regularly required to stand, sit, walk, talk, hear, see, reach, kneel, and crouch. Lifting only up to 25 pounds is permitted and may be required.
