Job summary

Home Helpers Home Care is seeking a Caregiver Coordinator & Trainer to manage the caregiver pipeline from application to first shift inside established systems and processes.

You will oversee hiring, onboarding, orientation, training, and ongoing support, building relationships with caregivers and ensuring client care quality and retention. Strong communication and organization are essential to success.

Qualifications

• Active CNA license or willingness to obtain within 6 months
• Experience in hiring coordination, onboarding, or caregiver staffing preferred
• Experience in home care or healthcare is a plus, but not required

Responsibilities

• Review and respond to caregiver applications in a timely manner, screening against requirements and availability
• Conduct virtual interviews and in-person meetings to assess fit and reliability
• Coordinate pre-employment steps including reference checks and background screening
• Maintain accurate caregiver records in scheduling and HR systems
• Track onboarding progress and follow up on outstanding items before first shift
• Provide clear communication with applicants to avoid stall in process
• Lead new hire orientations covering care plan procedures and documentation standards
• Walk new caregivers through scheduling platform and shift reporting procedures
• Verify training modules and certifications are completed before activation
• Conduct follow-up check-ins during first 30 days to address questions and early concerns
• Coordinate with office team to keep certifications and renewals current
