Senior Helpers in Santa Fe, NM is hiring a Caregiver Onboarding Coordinator to streamline caregiver onboarding from application to first shift. You will conduct interviews, verify I‑9, initiate background checks, and set up payroll and learning access for new hires.

The role emphasizes organized processes, confidentiality, and effective communication with caregivers and office leadership to ensure a smooth start and compliance across federal and state requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience in HR, recruiting, or caregiver onboarding preferred.
• Organized, tech‑savvy, and able to manage multiple systems and checklists.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

Responsibilities

• Conduct caregiver interviews and determine hiring eligibility.
• Complete I‑9 verification and ensure federal/state requirements are met.
• Initiate and monitor background checks for all new hires.
• Set up caregivers in our payroll system and online learning platform.
• Assign and track completion of mandatory online training.
• Ensure caregivers are enrolled in timekeeping systems and know how to clock in/out.
• Maintain accurate digital records for compliance and reporting.
• Serve as a first point of contact for onboarding questions from caregivers.
