Horizon Center San Diego is hiring a Health Aide/Caregiver to support residents with personal care and companionship in a recuperative care facility. You will assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, meals, and mobility while maintaining a clean, safe environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience as caregiver or support staff is a plus.
• Willingness to undergo background checks and required training.
• Incorporating Harm Reduction, Informed Trauma Training and De-escalation techniques.
• Compassionate and empathetic attitude towards individuals from diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Provide companionship and engage residents in meaningful activities to promote social interaction and cognitive stimulation.
• Help with meal preparation, serving, and feeding assistance as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized environment in resident living areas.
• Observe and report changes in residents’ conditions to nursing staff.
