Job summary

• English proficiency is required.
• Three references required.
• Proof of clear TB/PPD test taken within the last year.
• Ability to work with different personality types in a professional manner.

• Must be able to pass a background check.
• CNA, HHA, and BLS/CPR certifications a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily routine care, including feeding, grooming, and bathing.
• Assist with light housekeeping and grocery shopping.
• Communicate with clients to provide reassurance.
• Report incidents, complaints, and concerns to the agency.
• Meal preparation and clean up.
• Reporting any incidents, complaints, and/or concerns to the agency immediately.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.

Physical Demands

• Standing for long periods of time

Some clients will require activity that can be described as medium to moderately heavy. Recurrent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and reaching could be mandatory.

Work Environment

Direct Care Workers work out of the client’s home.
