A leading home care provider is seeking Direct Care Workers to deliver essential services to clients in their homes. Successful candidates will have a high school diploma, experience with seniors, and excellent communication skills. Responsibilities include daily care routines, light housekeeping, and meal preparation. This position requires a commitment to client welfare, the ability to handle physical demands, and a clean background check. Certifications such as CNA, HHA, and BLS/CPR are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience with seniors in a home setting preferred.
• Three references required.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Ability to work independently in the field.
• Ability to work with different personality types in a professional manner.
• Three references required.
• Proof of clear TB/PPD test taken within the last year.
• Must be able to pass a background check.
• CNA, HHA, and BLS/CPR certifications a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily routine care including feeding, grooming, and bathing.
• Assist with light shopping and housekeeping.
• Prepare and clean up meals.
• Report any incidents or concerns to the agency.
• Transferring clients and assisting with mobility.
• Reporting any incidents, complaints, and/or concerns to the agency immediately
• Other responsibilities as assigned

Physical Demands

• Standing for long periods of time
• Lifting more than 10lbs

Some clients will require activity that can be described as medium to moderately heavy. Recurrent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and reaching could be mandatory.

Work Environment

Direct Care Workers work out of the client’s home.
