Job summary

A home care services provider is seeking committed individuals to deliver daily care to clients in their homes. Responsibilities include feeding, grooming, light housekeeping, and meal preparation. Candidates must have a high school diploma and a minimum of two years of experience with seniors. Proficiency in English, communication skills, and the ability to work with diverse personalities are essential. Work is independent, and successful applicants will pass a background check and provide references.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide daily routine care including feeding, grooming, and bathing.

• Report any incidents or concerns to the agency.

Essential Duties / Responsibilities

• Daily routine care (feeding, grooming and bathing)

• Conversing with the client to provide assurance
• Meal preparation and clean up

• Other responsibilities as assigned

Required Education / Experience

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The physical demands in this position vary per client. Physical demands may include but are not limited to:

• Transferring of client
• Standing for long periods of time
• Lifting more than 10lbs

Some clients will require activity that can be described as medium to moderately heavy. Recurrent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and reaching could be mandatory.

Work Environment

Direct Care Workers work out of the client’s home.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibility.
