Job summary

Always Best Care is seeking Home Health Aides to provide in-home care to clients in the Newark, DE area. This role requires full vaccination and weekend coverage every other week, along with reliable transportation and compassionate bedside manner.

Responsibilities include daily care, light shopping, housekeeping, meal prep, and documenting incidents or concerns for the agency. Applicants must pass pre-employment checks and TB/PPD testing. Always Best Care is an equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience with adults (18+) in a home setting preferred.
• English proficiency and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in the field.
• Three references required.
• Proof of TB/PPD test taken within the last year.
• Must be able to pass a background check.
• CNA, HHA, and BLS/CPR certifications a plus.

Responsibilities

Some clients will require activity that can described as medium to moderately heavy. Recurrent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and reaching could be mandatory.

Work Environment

Direct Care Workers work out of the client’s home.
