Job summary

Discovery Senior Living in Melbourne, FL is seeking a Care Giver/Medication Technician to enrich residents' lives by providing hands-on care, administering medications, and offering physical and emotional support in a home-like setting.

Qualifications

• Certified Nurse's Aide certification preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Previous experience working with seniors preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and demonstrate good judgment.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care and supervision for assigned residents, assisting with activities of daily living while promoting dignity, independence, and safety.
• Administer and observe medications, documenting accurately and reporting concerns promptly.
• Monitor and record resident conditions and changes in behavior, appetite, skin, and engagement.
• Engage residents in enrichment programs and life skills activities to support well-being.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment in resident rooms and care spaces.
• Respond promptly to resident call bells and security systems.
• Communicate with residents, families, supervisors, and healthcare staff regarding care needs and changes.
• Ensure compliance with safety, infection control, and confidentiality policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
