Job summary

Discovery Senior Living is seeking a Care Giver/Medication Technician at Discovery Villages at Tampa Palms in Tampa, FL. The role is full-time with a schedule of 2p-10p and includes every other weekend, with a pay rate of $19/hour.

As a Care Giver/Medication Technician, you will provide hands-on care, administer medications, and support residents physically and emotionally within a home-like environment. Commit to safety, infection control, and resident confidentiality while building meaningful

Qualifications

• Certified Nurse's Aide certification preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Previous experience working with seniors preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and demonstrate good judgment.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care and supervision for residents, assisting with activities of daily living while promoting dignity and safety.
• Administer and observe medications, document accurately, and report concerns promptly.
• Monitor resident conditions and changes in behavior, appetite, skin, and activity participation.
• Engage residents in enrichment programs and life skills activities.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment in resident rooms and community spaces.
• Respond promptly to call bells and security systems.
• Communicate with residents, families, supervisors, and healthcare staff regarding care needs.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, infection control, and confidentiality policies.
• Other duties as assigned.
