Discovery Senior Living in Saint Augustine, FL is seeking a Care Giver/Medication Technician to enrich residents’ lives through hands-on care, medication administration, and emotional support in a safe, home-like environment. You will contribute to daily living activities and collaborate with the care team to maintain comfort and well-being.

Qualifications

• Certified Nurse's Aide preferred
• High school diploma or GED required
• Must be at least 18 years old
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred
• Experience working with seniors preferred
• Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and demonstrate good judgment

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care and supervision for residents, assisting with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, ambulation, transferring, eating) while promoting dignity, independence, and safety.
• Administer and observe medications and treatments per the Six Rights of Medication Pass, document accurately, report concerns promptly.
• Monitor and record resident conditions, including changes in behavior, appetite, skin, and activity participation.
• Engage residents in enrichment programs and life skills activities to support well-being.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment in resident rooms and common areas.
• Respond promptly to resident call bells and security systems.
• Communicate with residents, families, supervisors, and healthcare staff regarding care needs and changes.
• Ensure compliance with safety, infection control, and confidentiality policies.
• Other duties as assigned.
