Job summary

Discovery Senior Living in Bradenton, FL is seeking a Care Giver/Medication Technician to provide compassionate hands-on care to residents, administer medications, and support daily living activities in a safe, home-like environment.

You will monitor resident conditions, document changes, assist with activities, and communicate with families and healthcare staff while maintaining safety and confidentiality. Prior CNA preferred; HS diploma or GED required.

Qualifications

• Certified Nurse's Aide certification preferred
• High school diploma or GED required
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred
• Previous experience working with seniors preferred
• Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care and supervision for assigned residents, assisting with ADLs while promoting dignity, independence, and safety.
• Administer and observe medications and treatments following the Six Rights of Medication Pass, documenting and reporting concerns.
• Monitor and record resident conditions, including changes in behavior, appetite, skin, and activity participation.
• Engage residents in enrichment programs and life skills activities to support overall well-being.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment in resident rooms, community areas, and medication/treatment spaces.
• Respond promptly to resident call bells and security systems and communicate changes with staff.
