Discovery Senior Living in Fort Myers, FL is seeking a Care Giver/Medication Technician to enrich residents’ lives and provide day-to-day care in a home-like setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CNA certification preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Prior experience with seniors preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and exercise good judgment.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care and supervision for residents, assisting with activities of daily living.
• Administer and observe medications, documenting accurately and reporting concerns.
• Monitor resident conditions and report changes in behavior, appetite, skin, or engagement.
• Engage residents in enrichment programs and life skills activities.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment in resident rooms and common areas.
• Respond promptly to resident call bells and safety systems.
• Communicate with residents, families, supervisors, and healthcare staff about care needs.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and infection control policies.
