Job summary

Discovery Management Group is seeking a dedicated Care Giver/Medication Technician to enrich residents' lives by providing compassionate care, assisting with daily activities, and administering medications in a safe, home-like environment.

You will collaborate with nurses and staff to monitor residents, document changes, and communicate with families while upholding infection control and safety standards. Prior CNA experience is valued.

Qualifications

• Certified Nurse's Aide certification preferred
• High school diploma or GED required
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred
• Previous experience working with seniors preferred
• Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and demonstrate good judgment

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care and supervision for assigned residents, assisting with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, ambulation, transferring, eating) while promoting dignity, independence, and safety.
• Administer and observe medications and treatments in accordance with the Six Rights of Medication Pass, documenting accurately and reporting concerns promptly, including refusal of medications or missed doses
• Monitor and record resident conditions, including changes in behavior, appetite, skin, and participation in activities.
• Engage residents in enrichment programs and life skills activities to support overall well-being.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment in resident rooms, community areas, and medication/treatment spaces.
• Respond promptly to resident call bells and community security systems.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, supervisors, and healthcare staff regarding care needs and changes in condition.
• Ensure compliance with all safety standards, infection control protocols, and confidentiality policies.
• Other duties as assigned.
