Job summary

Alger Heights Senior Living Facility in Grand Rapids is seeking a Med Tech for the 3rd shift to support residents with daily activities and medication administration. You will help with mobility, personal care, and ensuring a safe, clean environment while following physician orders and care plans.

Responsibilities

• Providing assistance to residents with daily living activities such as transferring in and out of bed, bathing, dressing, toileting, and walking.
• Administering medications and injections to residents based on physicians’ orders.
• Ensuring the cleanliness of the environment and light housekeeping as needed.
• Comply with safety and health standards including infection control procedures.
• Monitor changes in residents’ conditions and communicate to the supervisor.

3rd Shift

• Providing assistance to residents with daily living activities such as transferring in and out of bed, bathing, dressing, toileting, and walking
• Administering medications and injections to residents based on physicians’ orders recorded in medical charts
• Ensuring the cleanliness of the environment which may involve light housekeeping duties
• Comply with all safety and health standards, including infection control procedures
• Monitoring for changes in residents’ conditions and promptly communicate any changes to the supervisor
• Following schedule, assisting residents with repositioning
• Adhering to procedures regarding documenting of medications accurately
• Utilize good judgment in providing client care and ensuring their safety
• Assisting other team members with their duties as necessary
• Responding to call lights and assess residents’ needs promptly
• Obtain meal trays and assist with eating
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor
