Always Family HomeCare is seeking compassionate Caregivers to assist an elderly client returning home from hospital after a hip fracture. You will provide personal care and companionship, helping with turning in bed, eating, and engaging in conversation and games to improve quality of life.

Responsibilities include following RN guidance, assisting with hygiene, meal prep, light housekeeping, and reporting observations.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience as a Caregiver.
• Requires CNA license, CNA certificate, PCA, or HHA.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Pass a background check and drug screen.
• Current Driver's License.
• Current TB test.
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel throughout Prince William County and surrounding areas.
• Immunizations including COVID-19 and flu encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Follow RN Supervisor instructions to provide personal assistance.
• Assist with hygiene such as bathing, oral care, and dressing.
• Help with meal preparation; serve food, run errands, light housekeeping, laundry, and dishes.
• Observe and report safety hazards or significant client observations.
• Attend staff meetings and complete annual in-services; orientation for new employees.
• Report client complaints and abnormal findings to the RN Supervisor.

Job Summary

Needs assistance with turning in the bed, eating, and companionship to include conversation and playing games. We are seeking compassionate Caregivers to provide exemplary personal care and companion care. Must have reliable transportation and be willing to travel throughout Agency service area in northern Virginina.

Job Responsibilities

Must be able to perform the following essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations:

• Follows the instructions of the RN Supervisor in providing personal assistance services.
• Provide assistance with hygiene such as bathing, oral care, and dressing.
• Assist with food preparation; serve food, performs errands, light housekeeping, laundry, wash dishes.
• Observe and report any safety hazards found in the client’s home or any significant observations regarding the client.
• Attend staff meetings, attend/complete 12 hours of annual in-services, and participates in orientation of new employees.
• Report client complaints to the RN Supervisor.
• Report abnormal findings in client’s conditions as observed and per care plan to RN.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Experience: Two years of experience as a Caregiver. Must have CNA license, CNA certificate, PCA, or HHA.
