Always Family HomeCare is seeking compassionate caregivers to provide personal and companion care to a client in Chantilly. The role includes assistance with transfers, standby shower support, and other ADLs.

Light housekeeping and reliable transportation are required; travel throughout Prince William County and surrounding areas is expected. We offer an hourly rate of $18 to $21 based on licensing and experience, with time-and-a-half pay for major holidays and referral bonuses for caregivers

Qualifications

• Two years of experience as a Caregiver required.
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel throughout Prince William County and surrounding areas.
• Immunizations including COVID-19 and flu strongly encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care and ADLs (bathing, dressing, oral care).
• Assist with transfers and standby shower assistance.
• Light housekeeping and companionship to improve client’s quality of life.

Job Summary

Does it bring you joy to assist the elderly with daily activities? We are seeking compassionate Caregivers to provide exemplary personal care and companion care to a client in Chantilly. He needs assistance with transfers, standby shower assistance, and other ADLs. He is mostly self sufficient but has limited mobility while recovering from a back injury. He lives at home with his wife. Duties will also require some light housekeeping and companionship. Must have reliable transportation and be willing to travel throughout Prince William County and surrounding areas.

Job Responsibilities

Must be able to perform the following essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations:

• Follows the instructions of the RN Supervisor in providing personal assistance services.
• Provide assistance with hygiene such as bathing, oral care, and dressing.
• Assist with food preparation; serve food, performs errands, light housekeeping, laundry, wash dishes.
• Observe and report any safety hazards found in the client's home or any significant observations regarding the client.
• Attend staff meetings, attend/complete 12 hours of annual in-services, and participates in orientation of new employees.
• Report client complaints to the RN Supervisor.
• Report abnormal findings in client's conditions as observed and per care plan to RN.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Experience: Two years of experience as a Caregiver. Must have CNA license, CNA certificate, PCA, or HHA.
• Requirements:
  • Authorized to work in the United States
  • Pass a background check and drug screen
  • Current Driver's License
  • Current TB test
  • Reliable transportation, able to travel throughout Prince William County and surrounding areas
  • Immunizations to include COVID-19 and flu strongly encouraged
