Job summary

Always Family HomeCare in Manassas, VA is seeking a compassionate Caregiver to assist an elderly wheelchair-bound gentleman at his home. You will help with ADLs, hygiene, light housekeeping, and transportation to PT appointments; a reliable vehicle is required.

The preferred schedule is Monday, Wednesday, Friday, 9am to 1pm, with opportunities to travel throughout Prince William County and surrounding areas.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of caregiver experience and valid CNA/PCA/HHA credentials.
• Authorized to work in the United States and pass a background check.
• Current Driver's License and reliable transportation to travel within Prince William County.
• Current TB test; immunizations including COVID-19 and flu encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) and hygiene.
• Assist with food preparation; serve meals, run errands, light housekeeping, laundry, wash dishes.
• Observe and report safety hazards or changes in the client’s condition to RN per care plan.
• Attend staff meetings and in-services as required.
• Report complaints to RN Supervisor and follow care plan.

Does it bring you joy to assist the elderly with daily activities? We are seeking a compassionate Caregivers to assist a wheelchair bound gentleman. He lives at home with his wife who has MS. He is looking for a Caregiver who is a good communicator, and who has a vehicle to drive him to PT appointments and assist at home with ADLs and light housekeeping. Preferred schedule is Monday, Wednesday, Friday, 9am to 1pm to start. Must have reliable transportation and be willing to travel throughout Prince William County and surrounding areas.

Job Responsibilities

Must be able to perform the following essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations:

• Follows the instructions of the RN Supervisor in providing personal assistance services.
• Provide assistance with hygiene such as bathing, oral care, and dressing.
• Assist with food preparation; serve food, performs errands, light housekeeping, laundry, wash dishes.
• Observe and report any safety hazards found in the client’s home or any significant observations regarding the client.
• Attend staff meetings, attend/complete 12 hours of annual in-services, and participates in orientation of new employees.
• Report client complaints to the RN Supervisor.
• Report abnormal findings in client’s conditions as observed and per care plan to RN.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Experience: Two years of experience as a Caregiver. Must have CNA license, CNA certificate, PCA, or HHA.
• Requirements:
