Always Family HomeCare in Manassas, VA is seeking a compassionate Caregiver to assist an elderly gentleman with ADLs at home during the week, 7am–3pm, Monday through Friday, with possible weekend shifts.

You will help with transfers, bathing, meal prep, light housekeeping, and build a caring relationship to improve quality of life. Scheduling and shift-notes are accessible via a smartphone app.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience as a Caregiver
• Must have MCNA license, CNA certificate, PCA, or HHA
• Authorized to work in the United States
• Pass a background check and drug screen
• Current Driver's License
• Current TB test
• Reliable transportation
• Immunizations to include COVID-19 and flu strongly encouraged

Responsibilities

• Follows the instructions of the RN Supervisor in providing personal assistance services.
• Provide assistance with hygiene such as bathing, oral care, and dressing.
• Assist with food preparation; serve food, performs errands, light housekeeping, laundry, wash dishes.
• Observe and report any safety hazards found in the client’s home or any significant observations regarding the client.
• Attend staff meetings, attend/complete 12 hours of annual in-services, and participates in orientation of new employees.
• Report client complaints to the RN Supervisor.
• Report abnormal findings in client’s conditions as observed and per care plan to RN.

Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate Caregiver to assist an elderly gentleman with his ADLs at home during the week. His schedule is Monday through Friday, 7am to 3pm while family is working. Occasionally they may also need help on the weekends. He will need assistance with transfers, bathing, and meal preparation along with some light housekeeping. Expect to begin very soon. We are looking for a great Caregiver to build a caring relationship!
