Job summary

Interim HealthCare in California is hiring Home Care Aides to provide personal care and companionship for seniors at home, with a focus on safety and comfort.

You’ll assist with activities of daily living, mobility, medication reminders and light home tasks, while building trust with clients. Requirements include a high school diploma, 6 months of healthcare experience, a valid CA driver’s license, and a background check; benefits include weekly pay and tuition discounts.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support seniors need to live safely at home
• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meal prep, shopping, transportation, companionship)
• Help with ambulation, transferring and range of motion exercises
• Provide medication reminders, document conditions and notify supervisor of concerns
• Ensure a safe home environment with unobstructed pathways
• Participate in activities that bring clients joy (puzzles, games, reading, hobbies)

As a Home Care Aide/Caregiver, here’s a big-picture view of what you’ll do:

A few must-haves for Home Care Aides/Caregivers:

• Six (6) months of experience in a healthcare role, preferred
• Clear Background Check & Drug Screen *We do not test for THC
• Valid CA driver’s license, auto insurance and transportation
• Compassionate and helping nature, good communicator and ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
