Avamere Living in Moses Lake, WA is seeking Caregivers for both part-time and full-time roles. Weekend availability is required. The position offers $18-$20 per hour depending on experience, with duties spanning ADLs, emotional support, and safety for residents in a memory care/assisted living setting.

The caregiver will assist with daily living activities, monitor health, provide companionship, and help maintain a clean, safe environment. Training and certifications may be required.

Qualifications

• CPR/First Aid certification required during employment.
• Food Handler's Card required.
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) documentation.
• Experience in memory care or assisted living preferred.
• Friendly, attentive, and professional demeanor with residents and guests.

Responsibilities

• Assist with ADLs: bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Provide mobility assistance and transfers.
• Assist with meal preparation and setup; help with trays.
• Offer emotional support and companionship to residents.
• Maintain clean and safe resident environments (housekeeping tasks).
• Monitor health and report concerns to medical staff; observe vital signs.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident information; ensure safety in apartments.
• Assist with orientation of new residents and staff as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor.

The caregiver's duties encompass a wide range of tasks, including assisting with activities of daily living, emotional support, housekeeping, and ensuring the resident's safety and well-being.

Essential Duties and Job Responsibilities

Assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs):

• Personal Hygiene: Helping with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Mobility Assistance: Supporting residents with walking, transferring, and using mobility aids.
• Meal Preparation: Assisting with setting up meals, cutting up food if needed, and removing trays from rooms.

Emotional Support and Companionship:

• Providing Emotional Support: Offering empathy, listening to residents, and providing encouragement.
• Companionship: Engaging in conversations, activities, and social interactions to combat loneliness and isolation.

Housekeeping:

• Maintaining a clean and safe environment, including laundry, cleaning, and tidying up.

Health Monitoring and Medical Advocacy:

• Observing residents for changes in health, reporting concerns to medical professionals, and monitoring vital signs.

Other:

• Answer resident calls for assistance timely.
• Maintain a clean, comfortable, and safe work environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident information.
• Maintain a safe work environment. Report safety concerns in the resident apartments to the supervisor.
• Assists with the orientation of new residents and staff when assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the manager or supervisor.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Prefer experience as a Caregiver in a Memory Care Unit and or Assisted Living Facility.
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain active CPR/First Aid Certification during employment.
• Must have the ability to obtain a Food Handler's Card.
• Experience in electronic medical records documentation.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Friendly, attentive, and professional demeanor with residents and guests.
