Job summary

Clarendale of Algonquin in Illinois is seeking hospitality-focused Caregivers to join our team. Our caregivers are the primary employees interacting with our senior residents every day to give them a good experience that promotes their health and well-being.

Pay range: $18.00/hr - $20.00/hr, depending on experience. Full-time employees are eligible for medical, dental, vision, life, disability, retirement plan with matching contributions, EAP, and more.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One year experience as a caregiver preferred.
• CNA certification preferred but not required.
• Experience with senior citizens preferred.
• Passion for helping people with compassion and empathy.
• Ability to collaborate as part of a care team.

Responsibilities

• Support resident health with personal care tasks such as dressing, grooming, mobility, bathing, incontinence care, foot care, and vital sign checks.
• Assist residents at mealtimes and coordinate with kitchen staff to meet needs.
• Support resident engagement and mental health with activities as planned.
• Respond to call lights and emergencies promptly to provide appropriate help.
• Communicate with residents and families in a positive, confidence-inspiring manner.
• Complete accurate shift documentation and comply with regulations and policies.

We are currently seeking hospitality-focused Caregivers to join our team. Our caregivers are the primary employees interacting with our senior residents every day to give them a good experience that promotes their health and well-being. Our caregiving team partners with other departments and leadership to resolve resident questions or concerns and to look for ways to continue improving our residents' experience.

Here are a few of the daily responsibilities:

• Support resident health by giving them high-quality assistance with personal care tasks including dressing & laundry, grooming, mobility, bathing, shaving, incontinence care, foot care, checking vital signs, and height and weight checks per policy.
• Assist residents at mealtime by encouraging their dining, assisting them with their food, and partnering with kitchen staff to address resident needs.
• Support resident engagement and mental health by providing activities as planned and/or directed.
• Respond to call lights and emergencies promptly to ensure residents receive appropriate help.
• Communicate with residents and their families in a positive way that inspires confidence and security. Collaborate with leadership to resolve any questions or concerns shared by residents or their loved ones.
• Complete accurate documentation for shift assignments as required, and comply with all applicable regulations and policies impacting the work.
