Job summary

Pacific Park OC Corp. in Santa Ana, California, is seeking compassionate Caregivers (Direct Support Professionals) to provide personalized support in a level 6 Group Home for adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities.

Responsibilities include ADL assistance, medication management, meal prep, transport to appointments, documentation, and emotional support. Compensation starts at $20/hour with increases to $21–$23 depending on DSP credentials and certifications.

Qualifications

• DSP Year 1 & 2 preferred but not required.
• Must have reliable transportation and maintain vehicle insurance.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must pass DOJ & FBI background check.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with ADLs such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and daily care.
• Administer medications and manage medication adherence per care plans.
• Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and assist with feeding.
• Transport residents to medical appointments and organized activities using staff vehicles.
• Maintain a clean, safe home and complete routine housekeeping.
• Take daily notes, document shifts, and track progress toward IPP goals.
• Provide emotional support and companionship to promote well-being.
• Follow training protocols and attend mandatory trainings.
• De-escalate behaviors and implement CPI/CPR/First Aid as required.

Job Overview

We are seeking multiple compassionate and dedicated Caregivers (Direct Support Professionals) to provide exceptional support and assistance to adults with special needs. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for those you serve by delivering personalized care with kindness, patience, and professionalism. Applicants can expect to work in a level 6 Group Home for adults with developmental & intellectual disabilities. Residents of the home will have a history of displaying maladaptive behaviors.

Schedule

• Split Shift - Monday -Friday - 6:30AM-9:30AM/2PM-7PM

Duties

• Assist residents or clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, shaving, brushing teeth, feeding, and dispensing medications.
• Administer medications and assist with medication management following care plans and HIPAA regulations
• Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary
• Staff will use their personal vehicles to transport residents of the home to necessary medical appointments, and regularly schedule special events/outings
• Maintain a clean and safe home by completing routine housekeeping
• Daily note taking and documentation of shifts summaries, progress towards IPP goals, notes on any incidents that have taken place and data tracking
• Provide emotional support and companionship to promote mental well-being
• Follow all training protocols
• Attend all scheduled mandatory staff in-service trainings
• Re-redirect & de-escalate behaviors
• Staff members must receive and pass multiple trainings to obtain certificates such as; CPI, CPR/First Aid, & DSP Year 1 & DSP Year 2

Pay scale

• $20 starting
• $21 with DSP Year 1 & Year 2
• $22 with DSP Year 1 & Year 2 + Bachelor's degree in relative industry
• $23 with DSP Year 1 & Year 2 + RBT Certification + Bachelor's degree in relative industry
