Job summary

Birchaven is seeking a Nursing Aide to support licensed staff in assisted living areas under the supervision of a nurse. You will assist with personal care, comfort, and daily activities according to current standards, Birchaven policies, and resident rights.

Responsibilities include recognizing changes in resident condition, assisting with safety, restocking supplies, and supporting the nursing team. A $500 sign-on bonus is offered.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Positive, service-oriented interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to provide care appropriate to residents' needs.
• Basic understanding of aging and related issues.
• Ability to assess data and identify resident needs.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate knowledge and skill to provide care based on residents' needs and report changes.
• Provide direct resident care and room preparation as directed by nursing staff.
• Order and restock resident care supplies to meet daily needs.
• Show service excellence by upholding the organization's mission, vision, and values.
• Follow organizational policies, confidentiality, and practices to ensure quality care and regulatory compliance.
• Assist in other tasks as directed by Nurse, DON, or ADON.
