Job summary

Assisting Hands Home Care is seeking caring, dependable aides to provide non-medical home care services in the Schaumburg area and surrounding NW suburbs. You’ll assist seniors with daily activities, ensure comfort and independence, and support families with compassionate, personalized care.

We offer competitive hourly pay ($18–$20), mileage reimbursement, benefits, and opportunities for advancement. Ideal candidates are dependable, patient, and passionate about helping others.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of caregiving experience preferred (personal caregiving considered)
• Reliable transportation with valid driver’s license and current auto insurance
• Must be dependable, compassionate, and patient
• Strong communication and observation skills
• Ability to follow care plans and client-specific instructions

Responsibilities

• Personal care, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and hygiene
• Meal preparation and light housekeeping
• Medication reminders
• Companionship and emotional support
• Mobility assistance, transfers, and ambulation
• Transportation to appointments or errands, when applicable
• Following individual care plans and client routines
• Monitoring and reporting changes in a client’s condition to the office team
• Providing respectful, dependable care while maintaining client dignity and independence
