Job summary

Senior Solutions Management Group is seeking a full-time Nursing Assistant for 2nd shift to provide routine daily care to residents in long-term or rehabilitative care settings. You will follow established nursing care procedures under supervision and participate in care plan evaluations.

The role includes assisting with daily routines, reporting observations, and supporting activity participation, with a focus on resident confidentiality and professional conduct.

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or equivalent is required.
• Previous Nursing Assistant experience or student nurse preferred.
• Completion of certification program for Nursing Assistants preferred.
• Experience working with the elderly is desirable.
• Must be able to read, speak and write the English language.
• Must be certified in CPR, first aid training and documentation of Personal Hygiene training with nurse instructor.

Responsibilities

• Assists residents with daily routines, personal care, and housekeeping tasks.
• Reports observations and other pertinent information to the nurse.
• Reviews care plans and adjusts daily care accordingly.
• Contributes to standards of care formulation and evaluation.
• Identifies staff educational needs.
• Maintains professional conduct per facility policies.
• Maintains resident rooms and changes linens as needed.
• Supports activity participation and documents resident involvement.
• Answers call lights promptly and responds to requests.
• Assists with dietary responsibilities, serving meals and cleaning areas.
• Maintains confidentiality of resident care information.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor or Executive Director.

Summary of Responsibility

This is a Full-Time 2nd shift position. Provides routine daily nursing care and services that support the care delivered to residents requiring long-term or rehabilitative care, in accordance with the established nursing care procedures and as directed by the supervisor.

Duties

1. Assists the resident in daily routines, personal care and housekeeping tasks that the resident needs assistance in performing.
2. Reports observations and other pertinent information related to the care of the resident.
3. Provides services that support the care delivered to the resident and daily review of care plans to determine changes in the daily care routine that have been made.
4. Provides input in the formulation and evaluation of standards of care.
5. Participates in the identification of staff educational needs.
6. Conducts self in a professional manner in compliance with unit facility policies.
7. Surveys for safety and maintains resident rooms; changes bed linens, towels, and washcloths as needed.
8. Assists with Activity Participation including encouragement of residents to participate, leading and performing activity programs, and documentation of residents' participation.
9. Ensures that all resident call lights are promptly answered, followed by appropriate responses to requests.
10. Assists with dietary responsibilities, including serving meals and cleaning meal areas, as needed.
11. Maintains confidentiality of all pertinent resident care information.
12. Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor or the Executive Director.

Education and Experience
