Job summary

Senior Helpers of Richmond, VA is urgently hiring caregivers to support seniors with dignity and compassion. The team emphasizes open communication with residents, families and staff, with duties including personal care, companionship and assistance with ADLs.

Qualifications

• Create and maintain open communication with seniors, their families, and our staff.
• Ability to provide personal care and companionship.
• Must be a Certified PCA, CNA, or Nurse Aide to qualify.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain open communication with seniors, their families, and our staff
• Assist with personal care
• Companionship
• Assist with all Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) as assigned
• Has experience with Dementia
• Has experience with Gait belt Transfers
• Caregiver must be a Certified PCA, CNA, or Nurse Aide to get qualified for this position
• Ability to get to work using reliable transportation
• Valid US issued driver’s license with no serious driving violations
• Ability to be flexible and adapt to new situations
• Pass a criminal background check prior to employment with Senior Helpers
• Pass a drug screening test
• Prior experience with dementia patients and senior care, a plus, but not required
• Must be able to be reached via phone, text, or email for shift schedules, client updates and/or emergencies
