Job summary

Elite Day Center in North Charleston, SC is hiring a compassionate Activity/Member Assistant to support the Activity Director, plan engaging programs, and assist with personal care.

This full-time role runs Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, with no weekends or holidays, and offers competitive hourly pay plus benefits after 30 days. You’ll help with crafts, music, games, ADL tasks, and maintain a safe, confidential environment under HIPAA.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with elderly or disabled individuals preferred.
• CPR certification or willingness to obtain.
• Reliable transportation or valid driver's license.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Clean background check and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Activity Director in planning and implementing engaging activities, including arts and crafts, music, games, and educational programs.
• Provide hands-on personal care (ADL assistance) to members, including feeding, toileting, and dressing.
• Foster a positive and interactive environment by engaging with members.
• Set up and clean activity areas to ensure a safe and organized space.
• Redirect behaviors as needed to promote a supportive atmosphere.
• Monitor and document any changes in client behavior or health, reporting to the RN Administrator.
• Maintain client confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
