Job summary

Elite Day Center in North Charleston, SC, is seeking a compassionate Activity/Member Assistant to support the Activity Director with engaging programs for elderly and special needs young adults. The role includes hands-on personal care, setting up activities, and promoting a positive, interactive environment.

Requirements include a high school diploma, CPR certification (or willingness to obtain), reliable transport, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• CPR certification or willingness to obtain is preferred.
• Reliable transportation and/or a valid driver’s license.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Clean background check and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Activity Director in planning and implementing engaging activities, including arts and crafts, music, games, and educational programs.
• Provide hands-on personal care (ADL assistance) to members, including feeding, toileting, and dressing.
• Foster a positive and interactive environment by engaging with members.
• Set up and clean activity areas to ensure a safe and organized space.
• Redirect behaviors as needed to promote a supportive atmosphere.
• Monitor and document any changes in client behavior or health, reporting to the RN Administrator.
• Maintain client confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
