Job summary

Griswold Home Care for Oahu is seeking a Caregiver Workforce & Scheduling Coordinator to be the heart of our home care operations. You’ll create caregiver schedules, coordinate client starts and coverage, and recruit compassionate caregivers who embody our mission of quality care.

In a fast-paced environment, you’ll communicate with clients, families, and caregivers, maintain accurate records, and support onboarding and credential verification to ensure compliant service delivery across Hawaii.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Coordinate new client starts, changes, and coverage for emergencies.
• Recruit, interview, and onboard caregivers, including NA/CNA and Homemakers/Companions.
• Maintain accurate employee and client records; ensure compliance with policies and Hawaii requirements.
• Support management to improve processes and caregiver retention.

What You’ll Do

Scheduling & Care Coordination

• Create and maintain caregiver schedules based on client care needs and caregiver availability.
• Coordinate new client starts, schedule changes, and coverage for call-outs or emergencies.
• Ensure continuity of care and consistent client and caregiver satisfaction.
• Communicate effectively with clients, families, and caregivers regarding scheduling updates.
• Monitor and adjust schedules to optimize service delivery and staffing efficiency.

Caregiver Recruitment & Onboarding

• Recruit, interview, and hire qualified caregivers, including Nurse Aides (NA) and Certified Nurse Aides (CNA) and Homemakers/Companions.
• Post and manage job advertisements on Indeed and other recruiting platforms.
• Screen applicants for qualifications, experience, professionalism, and compassion.
• Coordinate onboarding, orientation, and credential verification.
• Build and maintain a strong pipeline of quality caregivers to support agency growth.

Administrative Support

• Maintain accurate employee and client records.
• Support compliance with agency policies and Hawaii state requirements.
• Handle incoming calls, emails, and general office communications.
• Collaborate with management to improve operational processes and caregiver retention.

What We’re Looking For

Required Qualifications

• Previous administrative, staffing, scheduling, recruiting, or office coordination experience
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities
• Ability to work independently and solve problems quickly
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and scheduling software
• Experience working in healthcare, home care, or staffing environments preferred

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience recruiting caregivers, NAs, CNAs, or healthcare professionals
• Knowledge of home care operations and caregiver scheduling
• Familiarity with Hawaii's healthcare landscape and workforce

Working knowledge of applicant tracking systems
