Job summary

Serene Gardens of Imlay City is seeking compassionate part-time caregivers for the 3rd shift to support our residents with a range of daily activities and personal care.

The ideal candidate has experience in healthcare or in-home care, a valid driver’s license, and a willingness to work in a one-on-one setting while upholding high safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work in a one-on-one setting and continuously learn new skills.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with physical capability to perform job duties.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Prior experience in a healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care environment (minimum of 1 year).
• Willingness to enforce health and safety standards.
• Supportive and compassionate demeanor.
• High School Diploma or equivalent / Experience as a Caregiver, CNA or HHA, or completion of a CNA Program.
• Take pride in providing high-quality care.
• Hoyer Lift Experience (specific to client).

Responsibilities

• Provide personal hygiene assistance for residents (showering, bathing, dressing, eating).
• Help clients take prescribed medication and assist with ambulation.
• Assist with mobility around the house or to appointments.
• Plan and prepare meals.
• Assist with physical therapy exercises.
• Complete shopping or accompany clients to shop.
• Perform housekeeping duties.
• Report unusual incidents and respond to emergencies.
• Offer activities essential for daily living and assist with meals when needed.

Part Time 3rd Shift

We are looking for compassionate part time 3rd shift caregivers to join our growing team. The right candidate has a can‑do attitude, a friendly demeanor, and the ability to provide many levels of support to our residents.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal hygiene assistance for elderly patients or those recovering from surgeries, injuries or accidents by attending to their basic needs, such as showering, bathing, dressing and eating.
• Help clients take prescribed medication and assist clients with ambulation.
• Help with mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks etc.).
• Plan and prepare meals.
• Assist with physical therapy exercises.
• Complete client’s shopping or accompany them to successfully do so.
• Perform housekeeping duties.
• Report any unusual incidents and act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency.
• Offer activities that are essential for daily living by assisting patients with their meals, including serving and other tasks, if necessary.
