Job summary

Serene Gardens of Grand Blanc is seeking compassionate caregivers for a 3rd shift to join our dedicated team in Grand Blanc, Michigan. You will provide personalized care, assist with daily living activities, mobility, meals, and support for residents and families in a one-on-one setting.

We value a can-do attitude, reliability, and a willingness to learn. Prior experience in healthcare or home care is preferred, and a valid driver’s license with reliable transportation is required.

Qualifications

• Ability to work in a one-on-one setting and continuously improve.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Compassionate and supportive demeanor.
• Available for nights and weekends.
• Minimum 1 year experience in healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care.
• Willingness to follow health and safety standards.
• Pride in delivering high-quality care.
• Hoyer Lift experience (if required).

Responsibilities

• Provide personal hygiene assistance and basic care for residents.
• Help clients take prescribed medication and assist with ambulation.
• Support mobility for in-home activities and appointments.
• Plan and prepare meals for residents.
• Assist with physical therapy exercises as directed.
• Complete clients' shopping or accompany them to run errands.
• Perform housekeeping duties as needed.
• Report unusual incidents and respond to emergencies.
• Assist with daily living activities including meal service.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal hygiene assistance for elderly patients or those recovering from surgeries, injuries or accidents by attending to their basic needs, such as showering, bathing, dressing and eating
• Help clients take prescribed medication and assist clients with ambulation
• Help with mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks etc.)
• Plan and prepare meals
• Assist with physical therapy exercises
• Complete client’s shopping or accompany them to successfully do so
• Perform housekeeping duties
• Report any unusual incidents and act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
• Offer activities that are essential for daily living by assisting patients with their meals, including serving and other tasks, if necessary

Qualifications

• Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting, eager to improve and continuously learn new skills
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with physical capability to perform job-related duties
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation every single day
• Validated ability to act in a compassionate and supportive manner
• Available to work different shifts, including nights and/or weekends
• Prior experience in a healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care environment (minimum of 1 year)
• Willingness to enforce health and safety standards
• Supportive and compassionate
• High School Diploma or equivalent/Experience as a Caregiver, CNA or HHA, or completion of a CNA Program
• Take pride in providing high quality care
• Hoyer Lift Experience (specific to client)
