Job summary

Serene Gardens of Imlay City is seeking compassionate 1st shift part-time caregivers to support residents with daily living. The role requires a can-do attitude, friendly demeanor, and ability to provide comprehensive support across hygiene, mobility, meals, and activities.

Responsibilities include assisting with personal care, medications, mobility, meals, light housekeeping, and safety reporting, in a one-on-one setting.

Qualifications

• Caregivers provide personal hygiene assistance and daily living support.
• Experience with elderly or recovering patients preferred.
• Ability to follow health and safety standards consistently.
• Strong communication and compassionate patient care mindset.
• Willingness to learn new skills and work in a one-on-one setting.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transport.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal hygiene assistance such as bathing, dressing, and feeding as needed.
• Help clients take prescribed medications and assist with ambulation.
• Support mobility to appointments and activities inside/outside the home.
• Plan and prepare meals for residents and ensure proper nutrition.
• Assist with physical therapy exercises as directed by professionals.
• Complete shopping or accompany clients to run errands.
• Perform housekeeping duties and maintain a safe living environment.
• Report unusual incidents and respond quickly in emergencies.
• Assist with daily living activities and activities essential to residents.

Part Time

We are looking for compassionate 1st shift part time caregivers to join our growing team. The right candidate has a can-do attitude, a friendly demeanor, and the ability to provide many levels of support to our residents.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal hygiene assistance for elderly patients or those recovering from surgeries, injuries or accidents by attending to their basic needs, such as showering, bathing, dressing and eating


• Help clients take prescribed medication and assist clients with ambulation


• Help with mobility around the house or outside (doctor's appointments, walks etc.)


• Plan and prepare meals


• Assist with physical therapy exercises


• Complete client's shopping or accompany them to successfully do so


• Perform housekeeping duties


• Report any unusual incidents and act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency


• Offer activities that are essential for daily living by assisting patients with their meals, including serving and other tasks, if necessary

Qualifications

• Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting, eager to improve and continuously learn new skills


• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with physical capability to perform job-related duties


• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation


• Prior experience in a healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care environment (minimum of 1 year)


• Willingness to enforce health and safety standards


• Supportive and compassionate


• High School Diploma or equivalent/Experience as a Caregiver, CNA or HHA, or completion of a CNA Program


• Take pride in providing high quality care


• Hoyer Lift Experience (specific to client)
