Job summary

Willows of Bay City is seeking a compassionate caregiver to support residents with daily living activities in a one-on-one setting. You will assist with personal hygiene, meals, mobility, medication reminders, and light housekeeping, while upholding safety standards and respectful care.

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, hold a valid driver’s license, and work flexible shifts including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting and eager to learn new skills.

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation every day.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal hygiene assistance (showering, bathing, dressing, eating).
• Assist with medication reminders and ambulation.
• Support mobility for appointments and activities outside the home.
• Plan and prepare meals for residents.
• Assist with physical therapy exercises.
• Complete client shopping or accompany to stores.
• Perform housekeeping duties as needed.
• Report any incidents and respond quickly in emergencies.
• Assist with daily living activities and meals as required.

The Willows of Bay City is looking for a compassionate caregiver to join our growing team! The right candidate has a can-do attitude, a friendly demeanor, and the ability to provide many levels of support to our residents.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal hygiene assistance for elderly patients or those recovering from surgeries, injuries or accidents by attending to their basic needs, such as showering, bathing, dressing and eating
• Help clients take prescribed medication and assist clients with ambulation
• Help with mobility around the house or outside (doctor's appointments, walks etc.)
• Plan and prepare meals
• Assist with physical therapy exercises
• Complete client’s shopping or accompany them to successfully do so
• Perform housekeeping duties
• Report any unusual incidents and act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
• Offer activities that are essential for daily living by assisting patients with their meals, including serving and other tasks, if necessary

Qualifications

• Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting, eager to improve and continuously learn new skills
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with physical capability to perform job-related duties
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation every single day
• Validated ability to act in a compassionate and supportive manner
• Available to work different shifts, including nights and/or weekends
• Prior experience in a healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care environment (minimum of 1 year)
• Willingness to enforce health and safety standards
