Job summary

Serene Gardens of Clarkston in Clarkston, MI is seeking a compassionate caregiver/CNA to join our growing team. You will provide personal hygiene assistance, monitor health, assist with medications, and support daily living activities for our clients.

The ideal candidate has 1+ year in healthcare or in-home care, a valid driver’s license, and a commitment to safety. We offer competitive pay, flexible hours, health insurance, and PTO.

Qualifications

• Compassionate caregiver with at least 1 year of healthcare or in-home care experience.
• Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal hygiene assistance for clients (bathing, dressing, feeding).
• Assist with medication adherence and mobility support.
• Assist with meals and daily living activities.
• Plan and prepare meals as needed.
• Support with mobility and transport to appointments or activities.
• Perform housekeeping duties to maintain a clean living environment.
• Report incidents promptly and respond to emergencies.
• Engage clients with daily living activities and therapeutic exercises as appropriate.

We are looking for a compassionate caregiver/CNA to join our growing team! The right candidate has a can-do attitude, a friendly demeanor, and the ability to provide many levels of support to our clients.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal hygiene assistance for elderly patients or those recovering from surgeries, injuries or accidents by attending to their basic needs, such as showering, bathing, dressing and eating
• Help clients take prescribed medication and assist clients with ambulation
• Help with mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks etc.)
• Plan and prepare meals
• Assist with physical therapy exercises
• Complete client’s shopping or accompany them to successfully do so
• Perform housekeeping duties
• Report any unusual incidents and act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
• Offer activities that are essential for daily living by assisting patients with their meals, including serving and other tasks, if necessary

Qualifications

• Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting, eager to improve and continuously learn new skills
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with physical capability to perform job-related duties
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation every single day
• Validated ability to act in a compassionate and supportive manner
• Available to work different shifts, including nights and/or weekends
• Prior experience in a healthcare, hospitality, or in‑home care environment (minimum of 1 year)
• Willingness to enforce health and safety standards
• Supportive and compassionate
• High School Diploma or equivalent/Experience as a Caregiver, CNA or HHA, or completion of a CNA Program
• Take pride in providing high quality care
• Hoyer Lift Experience (specific to client)
