Job summary

Interim HealthCare Inc. in Spearfish is seeking a compassionate Caregiver to help seniors live safely at home. This part-time role offers competitive pay, flexible scheduling, and the chance to build skills through online training.

Qualifications

• Caregiver duties include personal care, meals, companionship, and support to live safely at home.
• Must have valid South Dakota driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support to seniors at home.
• Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meal preparation, shopping, transportation and companionship.
• Help with ambulation, transferring and range of motion exercises.
• Provide medication reminders and report concerns to a supervisor.
• Create a safe home environment and engage clients in activities.

As a Caregiver, here’s a big-picture view of what you’ll do:

• Provide the personal care and support seniors need to live safely at home
• Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meal preparation, shopping, transportation and companionship
• Help with ambulation, transferring and range of motion exercises
• Provide medication reminders, document their condition and notify a supervisor of any concerns
• Ensure a safe home environment with unobstructed pathways
• Participate in activities that bring clients joy such as puzzles, games, reading and hobbies
