Job summary

The Gardens Care Homes in Scottsdale, AZ is seeking a compassionate caregiver to support residents with daily living activities in a warm, home-like setting.

You will assist with ADLs (toileting, bathing, dressing), provide meal preparation, housekeeping, monitoring vitals, and engage residents in activities while ensuring safety and hydration in accordance with each care plan.

Qualifications

• Experience in elder care or caregiving settings.
• Ability to assist with ADLs per care plan.
• Strong communication and observation skills.
• Reliability and compassion.

Responsibilities

• Assist with ADLs according to individual care plan - toileting, showering/bathing, dressing, brushing hair, brushing teeth, skin care, nail care, shaving
• Assist with adaptive equipment - eyeglasses, hearing aids, wheelchair, walker, cane, special dinnerware
• Assist with ambulation and transfers
• Take vitals & weights
• Assist with engagement activities
• Housekeeping - laundry, bedroom cleaning, dishes, kitchen cleaning, restroom cleaning, cleaning outside grounds, sweeping and mopping, vacuuming, deep cleaning
• Prepare and serve meals
• Ensure residents are well hydrated
• Assist with prescribed exercises and/or instructions
• Ensure residents are safe
• Notify house manager of any possible new health issues with residents
• Use good communication skills with all staff and managers
• Engage with residents and assist with activities

As a caregiver, you're the heart of the home! You get to engage with residents and assist with activities of daily living (ADLs). Additionally, you get to assist with housekeeping roles, as well as meal preparation and meal times.

• Assist with ADLs according to individual care plan - toileting, showering/bathing, dressing, brushing hair, brushing teeth, skin care, nail care, shaving
