Job summary

Meadow View Assisted Living in Idaho is seeking a compassionate caregiver to assist residents with activities of daily living, mobility, meals, and documentation of care per care plans.

You will monitor vital signs, observe changes, report to wellness staff, provide emotional support, help with light housekeeping and laundry, assist dining services, and maintain safety and infection control while upholding resident rights and dignity.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, personal hygiene, toileting, and continence care.
• Support resident mobility including transfers, ambulation, positioning, and use of assistive devices as directed.
• Assist residents to and from meals and provide mealtime support to promote nutrition, dignity, and safety.
• Measure and record vital signs, observe and report changes in resident condition, behavior, or functional status, and communicate concerns promptly to wellness leadership or nursing staff.
• Complete treatments or clinical support tasks as ordered and within the caregiver’s scope of practice.
• Provide emotional support and maintain a calm, respectful, and reassuring presence for residents at all times.
• Accurately and timely document care provided, observations, and services rendered in accordance with policy.
• Maintain open communication between shifts to ensure continuity of care and sharing of relevant resident information.
• Assist with light housekeeping duties in resident living areas, including bed making, linen changes, trash removal, and maintaining a clean, safe environment as outlined in the care plan.
• Support residents with personal laundry, including washing, drying, folding, and returning items as needed.
• Assist dining services with beverage service, meal setup, clearing tables, and in-room dining support as appropriate.
• Stock supplies, maintain clean and organized work areas, and clean shared equipment in accordance with infection control and safety standards.
• Follow all safety, emergency, infection control, and resident rights protocols.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with all background check, training, and competency requirements as a condition of employment.
• Perform other duties as assigned consistent with the needs of the community and resident care.
