Job summary

HomeWell Care Services IN219 is seeking compassionate caregivers in Indiana to provide one-on-one non-medical in-home care. You will work with clients to enhance quality of life, offering companionship, daily living assistance, and support with errands and transportation as needed.

Flexible scheduling and advancement opportunities are available. Prior caregiving experience, especially with dementia/Alzheimer's, is a plus; CNA/HHA certifications are welcome but not required.

Qualifications

• No healthcare certification required; CNA/HHA preferred or 6+ months caregiving experience
• Experience with dementia/Alzheimer's care a plus
• Daily access to email/internet and a mobile phone
• Must be physically able to lift/pull ~25 lbs, and have a valid driver’s license with reliable transportation

Responsibilities

• Provide social companionship and non-medical care to clients
• Assist with daily living tasks (feeding, medications reminders, bathing/dressing, hygiene, grooming, toileting, dressing, light housekeeping, laundry, meal prep)
• Transport clients to appointments and social activities
• Standby assistance with transfers and overnight safety checks

Responsibilities

With dignity, compassion, and care, your duties include, but are not limited to:

• Social companionship
• Support with a variety of daily living tasks such as feeding and medication reminders, bathing/dressing and personal hygiene, grooming, toileting, dressing, light housekeeping, light cleaning, laundry and cooking/meal preparation and other care as needed
• Transportation to appointments, errands and social outings
• Standby assistance with transfers
• Overnight safety assistance

Qualifications

• No healthcare certification is required, but CNA, HHA, or 6 months plus caring for geriatric, chronically ill, or disabled persons preferred
• Experience with Dementia and Alzheimer's care a plus
• Daily access to email, the Internet, and a mobile phone
• Proof of current, negative, tuberculosis (TB) test (as required by the State of Indiana)
• Must be physically able to perform the duties of this position, including the ability to lift, push and pull approximately 25lbs.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation in addition to proof of valid driver's license and valid automobile insurance
• A compassionate heart for older adults
• Must possess excellent communication skills
• Are mature, caring, punctual and reliable
