Job summary

Right at Home in the Coachella Valley region is seeking dedicated Caregivers to fill immediate openings in Palm Desert and surrounding areas. You will provide essential personal care, mobility support, and companionship to seniors and adults with disabilities in a home setting.

Join our team to receive PPE, paid training, and ongoing support while contributing to high-quality in-home care from a trusted international provider with over 25 years of experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or preferred.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
• Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking).
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance/registration.
• Ability to pass a comprehensive background check.
• CNA/HHA/PCA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living and mobility.
• Perform housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and dishes.
• Prepare meals and snacks per client instructions.
• Accompany clients to appointments and run errands.
• Assist with personal hygiene including bathing and dressing.
• Provide medication reminders as prescribed.
• Support clients with memory care and routine activities.
• Offer companionship through engaging activities.

Responsibilities and Duties:

In this capacity, you will provide essential personal care and support to clients with their activities of daily living, including, but not limited to, the following responsibilities:

• Assisting with client mobility and safe transfers throughout the home

• Performing housekeeping duties, such as vacuuming, dusting, sweeping, mopping, dishwashing, laundry, changing bed linens, and general bathroom sanitation

• Preparing meals and snacks in accordance with client instructions

• Accompanying clients on errands and to medical appointments

• Assisting with personal hygiene, including bathing, showering, dressing, and shaving

• Providing medication reminders

• Facilitating prescribed range-of-motion exercises

• Delivering specialized dementia care

• Providing companionship through engaging activities such as reading, music, and puzzles

Qualifications and Skills:

• High school diploma or G.E.D. preferred.

• Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs without assistance.

• Proficiency in English (reading, writing, and speaking) as required for the role.

• Valid driver's license and current automobile insurance/registration.

• Ability to pass a comprehensive background check.

• Certification as a CNA, Home Health Aide, or Personal Care Aide is preferred.
