Job summary

Right at Home Coachella Valley is seeking dedicated Caregivers to fill immediate openings across the Coachella Valley and nearby communities. As a Personal Care Assistant you will support seniors and adults with disabilities with daily activities and companionship.

We provide PPE, paid training, flexible scheduling, and opportunities for professional growth with a leading home care provider backed by years of industry experience.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
• Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking).
• Valid driver’s license and current auto insurance/registration.
• Ability to pass a comprehensive background check.
• Certification as a CNA, Home Health Aide, or Personal Care Aide is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living and mobility.
• Perform housekeeping tasks as needed.
• Prepare meals and snacks following client instructions.
• Accompany clients to errands and medical appointments.
• Support personal hygiene, including bathing and dressing.
• Provide medication reminders and monitoring.

Responsibilities and Duties:

In this capacity, you will provide essential personal care and support to clients with their activities of daily living, including, but not limited to, the following responsibilities:

• Assisting with client mobility and safe transfers throughout the home
• Performing housekeeping duties, such as vacuuming, dusting, sweeping, mopping, dishwashing, laundry, changing bed linens, and general bathroom sanitation
• Preparing meals and snacks in accordance with client instructions
• Accompanying clients on errands and to medical appointments
• Assisting with personal hygiene, including bathing, showering, dressing, and shaving
• Providing medication reminders
• Facilitating prescribed range-of-motion exercises
• Delivering specialized dementia care
• Providing companionship through engaging activities such as reading, music, and puzzles

Qualifications and Skills:

• High school diploma or G.E.D. preferred.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs without assistance.
• Proficiency in English (reading, writing, and speaking) as required for the role.
• Valid driver’s license and current automobile insurance/registration.
• Ability to pass a comprehensive background check.
• Certification as a CNA, Home Health Aide, or Personal Care Aide is preferred.
