Job summary

Right at Home Coachella Valley is seeking dedicated Caregivers to provide in-home support across the Coachella Valley, Yucca Valley, Morongo Valley, and Joshua Tree areas. As a Personal Care Assistant you will assist with daily living activities, companionship, meal prep, light housekeeping, and mobility support while ensuring safety and dignity for seniors and adults with disabilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
• Proficiency in English for reading/writing/speaking.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
• Ability to pass a comprehensive background check.
• CNA/Home Health Aide certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with client mobility and safe transfers within the home.
• Perform housekeeping duties (vacuuming, dusting, sweeping, mopping, dishes, laundry, bed linens, bathroom sanitation).
• Prepare meals and snacks per client instructions.
• Accompany clients to errands and medical appointments.
• Assist with personal hygiene (bathing, dressing, shaving).
• Provide medication reminders.
• Facilitate prescribed ROM exercises.
• Deliver dementia care.
• Provide companionship through activities (reading, music, puzzles).

Responsibilities and Duties:

In this capacity, you will provide essential personal care and support to clients with their activities of daily living, including, but not limited to, the following responsibilities:

• Assisting with client mobility and safe transfers throughout the home

• Accompanying clients on errands and to medical appointments


• Assisting with personal hygiene, including bathing, showering, dressing, and shaving


• Providing medication reminders


• Facilitating prescribed range-of-motion exercises


• Delivering specialized dementia care


• Providing companionship through engaging activities such as reading, music, and puzzles

Qualifications and Skills:

• High school diploma or G.E.D. preferred.


• Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs without assistance.


• Proficiency in English (reading, writing, and speaking) as required for the role.


• Valid driver’s license and current automobile insurance/registration.


• Ability to pass a comprehensive background check.


• Certification as a CNA, Home Health Aide, or Personal Care Aide is preferred.
