Job summary

Right at Home is seeking dedicated Caregivers to fill immediate openings across Coachella Valley and surrounding areas. Join our team as a Personal Care Assistant to support seniors and adults with disabilities with daily living tasks, mobility, meals, and companionship.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
• Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking) required.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance/registration.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living and mobility.
• Perform light housekeeping tasks and meal preparation.
• Accompany clients to errands and medical appointments.
• Provide personal hygiene assistance (bathing, dressing, grooming).
• Provide medication reminders and basic health monitoring.
• Support dementia care and memory-friendly activities.
• Offer companionship through engaging activities and interaction.

Responsibilities and Duties:

In this capacity, you will provide essential personal care and support to clients with their activities of daily living, including, but not limited to, the following responsibilities:

• Assisting with client mobility and safe transfers throughout the home
• Performing housekeeping duties, such as vacuuming, dusting, sweeping, mopping, dishwashing, laundry, changing bed linens, and general bathroom sanitation
• Preparing meals and snacks in accordance with client instructions
• Accompanying clients on errands and to medical appointments
• Assisting with personal hygiene, including bathing, showering, dressing, and shaving
• Providing medication reminders
• Facilitating prescribed range-of-motion exercises
• Delivering specialized dementia care
• Providing companionship through engaging activities such as reading, music, and puzzles

Qualifications and Skills:

• High school diploma or G.E.D. preferred.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs without assistance.
• Proficiency in English (reading, writing, and speaking) as required for the role.
• Valid driver’s license and current automobile insurance/registration.
• Ability to pass a comprehensive background check.
• Certification as a CNA, Home Health Aide, or Personal Care Aide is preferred.
