Job summary

Mountain Park Memory Care Community in Clackamas County, OR, seeks a compassionate caregiver to join our team. You will provide person-centered care for residents with dementia, supporting daily living activities and fostering an independent, dignified lifestyle.

You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, participate in ongoing training, and help maintain a safe, engaging environment that respects each resident’s needs and preferences.

Qualifications

• Experience providing care to seniors or individuals with dementia preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with residents, families, and staff.
• Ability to lift, transfer, and reposition residents as needed.
• Willingness to participate in ongoing training and education on dementia care.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to residents, including help with ADLs such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Encourage socialization and engagement through activities, games, and conversations.
• Assist with mealtime, including eating and hydration support.
• Monitor and report changes in resident mood, behavior, or condition to the healthcare team.
• Maintain accurate and timely records of resident care and activities.
• Participate in training programs to stay updated on best practices in dementia care.

Job Summary:

As a Caregiver at Mountain Park Memory Care Community, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents who are experiencing Alzheimer's or another form of dementia.

About the Role:

As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in providing person-centered care to our residents, ensuring their social, spiritual, mental, and physical well-being. Our multifaceted approach focuses on fostering an independent lifestyle that is tailored to each resident's individual abilities. You will work closely with our interdisciplinary team to develop and implement personalized care plans that promote resident autonomy and dignity.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct care to residents, including assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
• Encourage socialization and engagement among residents through activities, games, and conversations
• Assist with mealtime, including eating assistance and hydration
• Monitor and report changes in resident behavior, mood, or condition to the healthcare team
• Participate in training and education programs to stay up-to-date on best practices in dementia care
• Maintain accurate and timely records of resident care and activities

Requirements:
